Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies
What is justice? What is injustice? The ASU BS degree in
Justice Studies is designed for students interested in social inquiry
in the areas of justice, law and social change. The School is an
innovative social sciences program that places social justice at the
center of its scholarship and teaching. Our interdisciplinary program
celebrates 25 years of educating generations of social change agents
and justice studies scholars. Our program allows students the
flexibility to pursue the broader subject of justice. Students pursue
careers in the areas of law and society, civil and human rights,
environmental protection, hunger and homelessness, immigration, peace
and justice, public policy, law enforcement, probation, or victim
advocacy. Other students pursue advance degrees in law or graduate
school.

Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies
The ASU Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies offers students the practical theory and skills-based knowledge to succeed in today's legal marketplace. This rigorous online-only degree program is the first such program developed and delivered by a law school. The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law has specifically designed the curriculum to teach students how to research legal issues, draft legal documents, utilize legal resources and technology, and understand the legal process from the perspective of law firms, courts, administrative agencies, and businesses. Currently the degree program is available to first-time freshman only. An undergraduate degree in Legal Studies prepares graduates for careers in the ever-expanding legal marketplace, both in the public and private sectors and in domestic and international workplaces. Whether as a legal assistant, paralegal, court representative, law firm administrator, compliance officer, legislative assistant, social worker, or other law-related professional, the BSLS will give students the skills to excel and succeed in the wide range of fields touched by law. This degree program is not intended for preparation for law school.
